On the eve of Independence Day about four years ago, singer and composer Zvika Pick felt unwell during a flight from London to Israel, the plane made an emergency landing in Vienna, where Pick was hospitalized at a local hospital. After several tests it turned out that Pick had suffered a stroke. At the weekend, the singer was hospitalized at Ichilov Hospital, after needing medical treatment. He underwent a series of tests and was released to his home. It was reported in Walla Walla today (Sunday) that Pick said: “I’m fine, on the way home. Not good food.”
In an interview with Haim Etgar several years ago, an interview conducted after the stroke, Pick told about the difficult year and the recovery process: “I could not speak. It took me a while to learn the whole Hebrew language from the beginning. The mouth did not produce everything it was supposed to say and suddenly it disappeared. “At first I did not know what it would be like, I did not cry but it is very bad. I was lucky and honestly learned the language.”
