The Delhi Capitals beat the Mumbai Indians by 4 wickets in the league match of the IPL today in Mumbai thanks to Akshar Patel’s batting performance and Lalit Yadav’s charge.

Batting first, Mumbai Indians added 177 runs for the loss of 5 wickets at the end of 20 overs. Chasing a tough target of 178, the Delhi Capitals lost 6 wickets with 10 balls to spare and won by 179 runs with 4 wickets in hand. The Man of the Match award was given to Kuldeep Yadav who took 3 wickets.

In the last 6 overs, Delhi needed 36 runs to win. Akshar Patel hit 15 off 15 overs in the 15th over off Bumra. The 18th over thrown by Sams was a turning point for the Delhi team. Lalith and Akshar both smashed and hit sixes and fours.
