Oscars 2022: All nominees and winners of the 94th Academy Awards at a glance

WITHThe first awards were presented in Los Angeles at the start of the Oscars. the German Gerd Nefzer wins the Oscar in the visual effects category for the science fiction film Dune.

Also the Film composer Hans Zimmer, who lives in the US but has German roots, won an Oscar for the music to the film.

the Actress Ariana DeBose won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in West Side Story. the deaf US actor Troy Kotsur won the Oscars for best supporting actor in the deaf drama “Coda”. He gave his acceptance speech in sign language.
