Chennai : Actor Surya and director Bala reunite after their grandfather’s release in 2003. The shooting of the yet untitled film started today, March 28. Malayalee actress Mamitha Baija will play the lead role in the film.
“Director Bala Anna was waiting for me to tell him the action !!! …. 18 years later, today this moment is so happy ..! We have to wish you all the best” Surya wrote on Twitter while sharing the picture of the director standing with Bala.

Krithi Shetty will play the lead role of Surya in the film. Only the work and the casting of Mamita in the film have been shared by the cast.

The film is being produced by Surya and Jyothika under the banner of 2D Entertainments. The shooting of the film has started in Kanyakumari.
