Negotiations are underway to reprint the film ‘Conference’ in Hindi. On the other hand, Venkat Prabhu has quietly completed the film ‘Manmadha Leelai’.
Also, he is going to direct a film in Telugu with Naga Chaitanya.
When asked what kind of story ‘Manmadha Leela’ is, Venkat Prabhu describes it with his own humor.
“It’s the story of a young man who mastered the art of romance. An incident ten years ago and a recent event meet at the same point. This is why, and this is why some incidents continue.
“I tried to handle a completely different screenplay. This is a story written by my assistant director Mani. Corona has created the big story with the little idea I told her during the whole block. The compliments for both the story and the screenplay should go to him.
“It simply came to our notice then. Fans will begin to understand better when watching the film. It will be a new experience for everyone. There are no songs in this movie.
“This is not a film for a theatrical release. The plan is to publish directly on the ODT site.
“I thought there would be a problem when it came out in the theater. Cinema celebrities will compare this film with ‘Conference’. But that is not correct.
“It simply came to our notice then. The ‘conference’ was created with great cast at great expense. Therefore, the two should not be compared.
“However, the theater owners did not give up. They came forward to support it saying it was a beautiful film, ”says Venkat Prabhu.
Ashokselvan plays the lead and Samyukta Hegde, Smriti Venkat and Riya Suman are the heroines.
Jayaprakash, Premji, ‘Kayal’ Chandran and Karunakaran are also there. Premji composes the music.
The film is set to screen very soon. Venkat Prabhu fans are eagerly waiting.
