Jerusalem residents, please note: Alarms will be sounded throughout the city

The Home Front Command’s emergency preparedness exercise will take place tomorrow (Tuesday) in Jerusalem.

As part of the exercise, an up and down alarm will be activated in several areas of the city and alerts will be received in the Home Front Command widget. Residents are asked to practice while activating the entry warnings into the protected areas and verify their readiness for emergencies.

The places and hours

The city of Jerusalem is divided into several alert areas, in order to reduce the amount of alerts to residents in an emergency, below are the areas and hours when the alerts will be activated:

• At 10:05 – Jerusalem North.

• At 10:15 – Jerusalem South and the Atarot industrial zone.

• At 10:25 – Jerusalem East.

• At 10:35 – Jerusalem West and Kfar Akev.

• At 10:45 – Jerusalem Central.

If a true alert is activated, you will hear another rising and falling alarm.
