2.90 crore fraud case against actor Suri

Chennai: Suri has acted as a comedian in various films including Vanilla Kabaddi Team and has co-starred with Vishnu in Vanilla Kabaddi Team. It is said that actor Vishnu’s father also received ₹ 2.90 crore from former DGP Ramesh Kudawala for buying the place. However, the actor did not buy the land for Suri and the actor Suri has lodged a complaint with the Adyar police station alleging that Vishnu and his father threatened him when he asked for the money. Former AIADMK DGP Ramesh Kudawala and his son actor Vishnu have been delayed from taking action against the then AIADMK regime.

Actor Suri has filed a case in the Chennai High Court seeking action on his complaint. The court transferred the case to the Central Criminal Division and directed the Commissioner of Police to conduct an inquiry soon. Following this, the Deputy Commissioner of the Central Criminal Division, Meena, has started an investigation as per the court order. Following that, he appeared before Deputy Commissioner of Central Crime Division Meena at the Police Commissioner’s Office in Vepery, Chennai at 6.30 pm yesterday. He was then interrogated for an hour and a half. The trial ended at 8 p.m.
