The CBCID police, who are investigating the case, questioned the victim for two days. In addition, they searched the homes and places of the 8 arrested persons. Meanwhile, the CBCID police interrogated the relatives of the arrested Hariharan and Junad Ahmed for about 7 hours. At that time, the cell phones of a few people were confiscated for inspection. They were sent back early today (Tuesday) after interrogation.

In this context, the hearing on the petition filed by the CPCIT seeking permission to detain Hariharan and others arrested in the case was held at the Srivilliputhur Anti-Terrorism Court this evening. At that time, Hariharan, Junath Ahmed, Madasamy and Praveen, who were lodged in the Madurai Central Jail, were produced in court.

Following this, Judge Gopinath directed the CBCID police to remand the four, including Hariharan, in police custody for six days and produce them in court again on Monday evening.

Subsequently, four persons, including Hariharan, were brought to the CPCIT office in Virudhunagar with heavy police security for questioning.
