Many people, when the team does not win, no longer know when there is a game. Once it reaches them on social media, friends or the press that Barça wins again, they return. I’ve never empathized with who follows a team only when it wins. I respect that, but I don’t understand it.

The same thing can happen with women’s Barça if one day another league team builds a good project. Or if they fall defeated against any of the well-built teams of the Old Continent. Hopefully this boom in football played by women at home will release some of this obsession with victory. I’m not optimistic, it’s a disease that affects the whole of society: the desire to earn more, to be the best known, to have more followers, to win more awards, to lead lists. It’s very lazy.

Despite being pessimistic in general, deep down I have no doubt that there will be a part of the social mass that has begun to follow this batch of exceptional players who will know how to live up to the day they have to lose. And that the day he loses will know how to do as the fans of Uni Girona women’s basketball, accompanied by a crowd in Valencia that encouraged the players despite not being able to revalidate the victory in the Cup final against Perfumerías Avenida de Salamanca.

A few years ago I didn’t quite understand those expressions that said the most important thing is the path. Now that I’ve come a long way, I’ve lost track of many things. In sports it is the same. The most important thing is the path. If he had lost to Chelsea a year ago, the mere fact of having reached the European finals in such a short period of time would have been a reason to keep this generation closed. But they won. And maybe now someone will think that the most normal thing is to always win. One thing is that Barça always want to win and work to do so. The other, how you react in case of defeat.
