The 94th Academy Awards were held in Los Angeles, USA. The incident where actor Will Smith slapped stand-up comedian Chris Rock on the Oscar stage caused a stir. Chris Rock came on stage to announce the award for Best Picture, to say something parody about Will Smith’s wife, so angry Will Smith climbed on stage and slapped Chris Rock on the cheek. This video is currently going viral on the internet.
The Oscar committee is investigating the matter. The Oscar management had already condemned the incident on their Twitter page. It is alleged that Will Smith could be prosecuted under Oscar law and California state law.
