Another banker moves to crypto: Eric Pinto will serve as Hilltop chairman

Hilltop Digital Currency Investment House joins Eric Pinto, former CEO of Bank Hapoalim, as chairman of the company. The investment house was established in 2017, by Ido Dotan, who also serves as CEO.

The addition of Pinto will allow the investment house to address the institutional and banking market in addition to the private holders. The investment house states that the platform was built so that it would meet the regulatory requirements, allow money to be returned to the Israeli banking system, and also make withholding tax deductions for customers.

The investment house now offers options to purchase Bitcoin and Ethereum, and develops additional products in the crypto field. The investment house states that the intention is to offer long-term investment products in the NFT and Web3 areas as well.

Investment houses that deal with the crypto worlds have recently attracted many names from both the banking system and the business system. Among them are Yona Fogel, former senior executive at Leumi and Haim Benvenisti, former CEO of Partner, who joined the ProxyBit investment house, and Zvi Ziv, former CEO of Bank Hapoalim (served until 2009), and Gabi Ravid, former CEO of Psagot, Who founded the investment house Silver Castel.
