The employee sued Reidman for a ridiculous sum of about half a million shekels. A former household worker claimed that she worked for about three years at Reidman’s home 24/7 as a childminder in addition to a variety of household chores.
Reidman claimed that she paid the employee kindly, but that she was fired because of credibility issues and that she received everything she was entitled to by law. Reidman’s lawyer also said that the same employee tried to extort money from Reidman, allegedly, and when she failed, she filed a baseless lawsuit. The parties have been conducting court proceedings in recent months, and the judge ruled in Reidman’s favor, dismissing the farm worker’s lawsuit and even ordering her to pay Reidman her lawyer’s expenses.
