Idan Raichel is releasing a new single as part of the project together with Yonatan Avraham called: “How Far”.

Raichel said: “Every day to die with you, every day with you to live. This pain that has no end. And this longing, that there is no distance that you can go all the way to. Every year, another wrinkle in the face and one wish always, to come back, and stay.”

“I knew Yonatan Avraham as a soldier, a bereaved brother. An exciting guy whose only family is interested in life. Nothing else. But even Yonatan, who is even more than him, will be his mother, who in one word of hers and with one look enters her directly into the heart. “Jonathan and I share with you a recording of a special song and think about it, and about lots of other mothers, and grandmothers, and aunts, and sisters, and daughters, and spouses, whose longing is endless.”

Listen to the new song:

Lyrics:

How far
Every year a wrinkle is engraved on the face
If you were here
I would ask you to stay with me
If you hear
I did not stop looking for you among all the people
God knows

With eyes closed through tears
Every day to die with you
Every day with you to live
It’s always at nights
Can not breathe
Maybe even there you see a moon in the window

How long has it been
Ever since we ran in the neighborhood
We were children
As in the pictures
Everything is kept in my heart
Inside a longing box
If you hear
I’m still waiting for you after all these years
God knows

With eyes closed through tears
Every day to die with you
Every day with you to live
It’s always at nights
Can not breathe
Maybe even there you see a moon in the window
