The Sensex index opened again today on a positive note. 689 points to 58,631.69. The top gainers in the Sensex are Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Axis Bank, Maruti Suzuki and HDFC. Shares of Tata Steel, Tech Mahindra, Sun Pharmaceuticals, ITC, NTPC and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories traded lower in red. The BSE midcap was also trading 194 points higher at 24,038.16, while the smallcap index was up 351 points at 28,178.76.

The Nifty 50 index was up 181 points at 17,506.85. Similarly, the Nifty Bank was up 535 points at 36,383.10. Tata Consumers, Bajaj FinServe, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance and Grossim Industries traded higher in the Nifty 50. On the other hand, shares of ONGC, Tata Stees, Hindalco Industries, Tech Mahindra and JSW traded lower in red.
