In this morning’s session, the market saw a slight uptick. BSE FMCG, BSE Financial Services and BSE Auto saw gains. On the other hand, the BSE Pharma and BSE IT sectors dragged the market down as they fell.

The Sensex opened 15 points higher at 58,699.90. Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj Finance, Asian Paints, Hindustan Unilever, Axis Bank and HDFC topped the list. On the other hand, stocks like Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, Wipro and Larsen & Toubro are facing maximum losses. The BSE midcap gained about 104 points to 24,141.83. At the same time, the smallcap index rose 158 points to 28,28.60.

The Nifty 50 index was up 17 points at 17,515.25. Nifty Bank also gained about 115 points to 36,450.15 points. In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as Mahindra & Mahindra, JSW Steel, Bajaj Finance, Tata Consumer and ONGC saw gains. On the other hand, stocks like Hindalco Industries, UPL, Apollo Hospitals, Reliance Industries and Bharti Airtel are down.
