World Transgender Day is being celebrated today. As part of this, art shows for transgender people were held at the Coimbatore District Collector’s Office on behalf of the Social Welfare Department. Dance, kolam, talk show, costume parade, song contest etc. were held.

There was also a talk show on transgender people. More than 50 transgender people attended the event. Earlier transgender people presented their demands to the officers. They also complained to the authorities that they were having problems getting various government schemes.
