In Erode, a liter of petrol was sold for 107 rupees 18 rupees yesterday. Yesterday, a liter of petrol went up by another 75 paise to an all-time high of 107 rupees for 93 rupees. Similarly, a liter of diesel sold for 97 rupees 26 rupees yesterday. Yesterday another 76 rose to 98 rupees for 2 coins.
Motorists have been hit hard by rising petrol and diesel prices. Motorists have demanded that the central and state governments take action to control this. As petrol and diesel prices continue to rise, so do the prices of other commodities. Thus the poor and middle class people are severely affected.
