Police arrested the detainees in the Virudhunagar gang-rape case and took them to the drug stand where the incident took place. Four boys arrested in connection with the Virudhunagar gang-rape case are being held at the Kurnokku home in Madurai and Hariharan 27, Praveen 22, Madasamy 37 and Junath Ahmed 27 are in the custody of the CPCID.
Hariharan, Junath Ahmed, DSP, Vinodini-led police took Hariharan to Bethanatchi Nagar at 9:30 am and interrogated him for half an hour. Six rooms in the leased drug godown have been used. The medicines were kept in a large room. Mattresses and clothes were scattered in both rooms. Codons have been used as accommodation. The surveillance camera was damaged. Although there are other buildings nearby, they are not visible to the outside world due to the lack of people.
The CPCID, police have filed a petition in the Virudhunagar Chulakkara Juvenile Court to question the boys in the Madurai Kurnokku home, while the police have permission till April 4 to interrogate four persons, including Hariharan. For this the boys were brought to the award city. The court allowed the boys to be questioned in the presence of the caretaker and a member of the Social Welfare Committee from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm today. Meanwhile, the Srivilliputhur court adjourned the bail petition filed by Madasamy in the case.
