There is a new champion (School Sports Association)
Yeshivat Bnei Akiva Givat Shmuel is the champion of the Khamad League of the high school yeshivas for the 2002 school year. After a long and tense league, with 30 teams competing for the right to be in the final game, the Himmelfarb Jerusalem High School and the Bnei Akiva G. Shmuel Chamad High School teams arrived at the Lev HaPark Hall in Raanana yesterday (Thursday) for one game that will determine who will be the champion.
The game was tight throughout, full of twists and turns and a good level of basketball and provided a great and thrilling basketball experience and was decided right in the last two minutes. Yeshivat Hamad Bnei Akiva G. Shmuel, is the champion who wins with a result of 60:55.
The hoisted trophy gave the signal for the celebrations in the stands and on the parquet. Big compliments to the group audiences who gave an impressive display of encouragement. The outstanding player of the game was chosen the player of the Bnei Akiva Yeshiva Givat Shmuel Banya Schreiber who plays in the youth team of Maccabi Tel Aviv.
