by time news

In Pakistan over the past few weeks, opposition parties in parliament have been vocal in their opposition to the dissolution of the government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan. The following week, the opposition passed a no-confidence motion in parliament against the Imran Khan government. The MQM, which backed the Imran Khan government during the resolution, gave its support to the opposition Pakistan People’s Party, which not only reduced Imran Khan’s strength to 164 out of a total of 342 seats in parliament, but also increased his strength to 177. In that sense, it is possible Pakistan’s parliament will vote on the resolution on April 3.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Qasim Khan said, “This no-confidence motion against Imran Khan’s government is being rejected as it is unconstitutional in Pakistan.” He also said that the parliament would be adjourned till April 25.

Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Imran Khan said, “The decision to dissolve the no-confidence motion is the right one. A foreign conspiracy to overthrow my government has been exposed. Therefore, the parliament should be dissolved and elections should be held soon. An interim government should be formed until further elections. Let the people decide who rules themselves. “

Opposition parties have stated they will not take the matter to the Supreme Court amid political turmoil over the rejection of the no-confidence motion in parliament.
