Hyderabad: Police raided a luxury hotel during a drug party. A special team of police raided a private hotel in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad on Sunday morning. It is reported that drugs including cocaine were seized from the hotel where the party was held. More than 150 people, including children and relatives of high-ranking officials, were taken into custody from the hotel, according to various national media reports.

The raid was carried out by a special police team during a party at a pub in the Radisson Blu Hotel in the Banjara Hills. When the police team arrived at the pub around 2.30am on Sunday, more than 150 people were in the party. Police officials responded that many people had thrown away some packets after seeing them. Meanwhile, police found five packets of cocaine during a search. Apart from this, drugs including cannabis and charas have also been recovered. The pub also received some empty packets of drugs believed to have been brought.
A police official said all those present at the pub at the time of the incident had been taken into custody. Police have arrested two managers of the hotel. A senior police official said that no one would be released without being questioned in detail, no matter how high up.
According to the police, the rave party which was held till dawn was organized by abusing the bar license of the hotel. The Banjarahills police inspector has been suspended in connection with the incident. The inspector was suspended for refusing to take action despite being informed that a rave party was taking place at the hotel. Top officials have also found that such parties were held with the knowledge of the inspector.
