Police conducted an intensive vehicle search to curb the smuggling of cannabis and narcotics from Andhra Pradesh via Vellore. He was later apprehended by the police and interrogated. It was revealed that he was a 50-year-old king from Theni district. 10 kg of cannabis was seized from him. Police are investigating where the cannabis is being smuggled from. Andhra Pradesh Police have been informed about this.

Police in Andhra Pradesh are conducting an investigation as per the instructions of the Tamil Nadu Police. Mopanai Simbaku is undergoing special training as per the orders of District Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kannan to curb the rising incidence of cannabis smuggling in Vellore district. Based on the special training given to this dog for 45 days, the police are conducting vehicle inspection with its help.
