Today (Sunday), the Ministry of Construction and Housing announced the establishment of the Settlement Administration, headed by Sheila Adler. The administration will be responsible for the Directorate of Immigrant Absorption, the promotion and implementation of government decisions regarding the Golan Heights, the director of rural construction and the strengthening of buildings against earthquakes.
The appointment has been approved and will take office in the coming month, Sheila Adler will serve as head of the Settlement Administration at the Ministry of Construction and Housing. Adler, with a long and significant background in the public service, when until recently served as Deputy Director of Infrastructure Planning and Development at the Ministry of Transportation and the National Supervisor of Transportation previously served as Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Transportation. Among other things, he served as CEO of Psagot Jerusalem, as a professional advisor to the Minister of Settlement and as CEO of the Yesha Council.
In his role as head of the settlement administration, Adler will be responsible for the director of rural construction, the director of buildings for the absorption of immigrants, the promotion and implementation of the government’s decision to double the Golan population. Adler holds a master’s degree in political science from Bar Ilan University and a bachelor’s degree in education. Graduate of the Fortress Program for Public Leadership Development and Executive Training at Harvard University in Boston. As part of his military service he was a fighter and an officer in the Golani Regiment, commander of a reserve battalion and established a light infantry brigade, Daniel, which he continues to command even today.
