«Zip Arts Festival»: art, music and poetry at the Lanificio25

It is the turn of the «Zip Arts Festival / Art, Music and Poetry» at the Lanificio25 of Porta Capuana in Naples. The session starts at 18.00 with an exhibition of drawings and paintings by the artists Gaia and Viorel. Carola to the vinyl DJ set. At 9:30 pm “Stumbling between words”, the show includes a mix of music and readings, a work of synergy between the actress Elide Ambrosio and the musicians Modular on the spot (Cristiano De Petrillo and Alessandro Pascolo). The poems are taken from the homonymous collection of Anna Maria Rendano. An electronic live set with instrumental accompaniment will join the reading of the poems. From 10.30pm DJ sets feathers. Gaia, designer, in 2019 exhibited as part of a collective exhibition at the Pio Monte della Misericordia. In 2020 he held his first personal exhibition in the church of San Severo al Pendino, then repeated in 2021. Viorel, born in 95, approaches art from an early age. Over time he graduated from the Umberto Boccioni Institute. Continuing his artistic journey he embarks on a path to the Comics Academy, attending basic drawing and illustration. Soon he approaches the world of tattoos following a course at Comics and at the Chiaia Center up to working in the shop, now he has been in business for six years. When the pandemic arrives, he discovers his love for oil painting by starting to study various impressionist, romantic and surrealist painters, thus acquiring a style all his own.

Anna Maria Rendano, passionate about literature and writing since adolescence, made her debut with her first book “Stumbling between words” in 2021, a collection of poems whose fil rouge unites the events of his life with the emotional state derived from it. The book ends with a writing dedicated to a friend who no longer exists to whom the author dedicates the entire work. “Poetry is something that comes from within and presses to be expressed and shared, this publication is my first attempt to share my reading of the world”.

Alessandro Pascolo is a Neapolitan drummer, producer and sound engineer. At the Sulfur City Studio in Pozzuoli he recorded some of the most important hardcore, emo, punk and metal bands of the Campania scene, such as Naga, Gomma, Tenue and Kairo. His rhythmic and melodic weaves are inspired by both idm and Berlin techno. Cristiano De Petrillo, in 2019 he founded the audio post production studio Dsorderless Music & Sound @dsorderless in Naples. His passion for sound leads him to approach modular synthesis. His colorful aesthetics and the mysterious appeal of these machines bewitch him from the start. «Eurorack gives you the opportunity to explore sound in search of unique moments / sound experiences». In 2020 they founded together Modular on the Spot with the intention of creating a meeting point for the Neapolitan community (@ modularonthespot.na).

Elide AmbrosioPassionate about the world of art and entertainment since childhood, she has always embraced her passion for drawing and dance. After graduation, she approaches the world of cinema, choosing an academic path in Rome. She participates in her first play at the age of 20. Her attraction for creativity, her perspective on things and her desire to escape from reality emerged thanks to her grandmother’s love and passion for this fascinating world, that of the show.

feathers, born and raised in Naples, better known as La Penna or Il Pennuto has developed a sort of fetishism for records since his earliest age, in fact his first memories of this format date back to the times when his parents used vinyl as wake up and accompaniment to the preparation of the day. His childhood was shaped by television shows such as MTV, RTL, VIVA, TMF which directed him towards electronic music in general. During his university career he has some formative experiences between Glasgow and Barcelona which thus mark his life model. His favorite artists are: James Holden, Dubfire, Dave Clarke, David Holmes, Audio Bullys, Miss Kittin, Timo Mass, Guy Gerber, K & D, Green Velvet.

The Wool Mill 25 he lives in a layered architectural complex belonging to the fifteenth-century island of Santa Caterina in Formiello, the cloister of the church of the same name, which was transformed into a wool factory during the eighteenth century. Today it stands out as a historical relic of industrial archeology, in one of the districts of Naples richest in monuments and traditions. Adjacent to the historic Porta Capuana and headquarters of the Carlo Rendano Association, since 2006 it has been involved in promoting and organizing innovative events of both artistic and cultural entertainment, “taking advantage of the charm of a space with a centuries-old history which, however, never ceases to renew itself, thus constantly combining the old and the new “.
