Delhi: Fuel prices continue to rise in the country. Petrol and diesel prices will go up on Monday as well. Petrol price will be increased by 42 paise per liter. Diesel prices will also go up by 42 paise per liter. Fuel prices have been rising in the country for the past few days. Petrol price was hiked by 85 paise per liter and petrol by 87 paise per liter yesterday. After a gap of 137 days, prices have continued to rise. Since March 21, prices have risen steadily, except for one day.

Fuel prices have not risen for the past four months following elections in five states. A week after the results were announced, there were reports that fuel prices would rise sharply, but a week later, oil companies started raising prices again. Fuel prices are expected to rise in the coming days.

Petrol price has been hiked by Rs 8 71 paise in the last 14 days. Diesel price was hiked by Rs 8 and 39 paise. In Thiruvananthapuram, a liter of petrol costs 115 rupees and 10 paise. Diesel price has gone up by Rs 101 to 83 paise. In Kochi, petrol is priced at Rs 113 2 paise and diesel at Rs 99 98 paise. In Kozhikode, the revised rates are 113 rupees 19 paise for petrol and 100 rupees 16 paise for diesel.
