‘Drinking water tax will lead’
ADMK, Coordinator Panneer Selvam Report:
Since the drinking water tax is determined on the basis of the annual value of the corporation, the announcement of the property tax increase by the state will automatically lead to the increase in the drinking water tax. With this tax increase, not only homeowners but also renters will be affected.

Owners who own buildings will have to raise the rent of the poor and needy who live in them for rent. Those who run shops, factories, schools and colleges on a monthly rental basis are also subject to the additional burden.

The prices of goods sold in stores, goods produced in factories, and the fees of schools and colleges will rise sharply.
