Microsoft has been offering an official link between Android phones and Windows 10 for several years, and now the service has been updated as desktops move to Windows 11.
Now, Your Phone has a new name; It’s Phone Link. And the app offers an all-new interface that advances notifications.
Microsoft has also announced that the service will be available in China, following its partnership with Honor which will provide support for some devices from the now-independent smartphone brand.
Windows 11 now allows smartphones to connect easier by scanning a QR code, which automatically starts downloading the pairing app to the phone.
The app has always provided basic connectivity between Android and Windows unless the phone is from a Samsung or the Surface Duo for obvious reasons. The partnership with Honor will add easier mobile app launch and PC navigation for Honor Magic V, Magic4, Magic4 Pro, Magic4 Ultimate, Magic3, Magic3 Pro and Magic3 Pro+ phones.
