Russia will remove the flight restrictions from and to it starting next week. This is a list of 52 “friendly” countries, including Brazil, China, Turkey, Israel, India, Pakistan, South Africa, North Korea, Seychelles and Saudi Arabia.

Restrictions were initially set to slow the spread of the corona and were lifted on the advice of the Corona Virus Operational Command as Russia uses the removal of the restrictions as a “benefit” to countries that did not restrict flights to it following the war.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has announced the move, which he says applies to “friendly countries”. “As of April 9, we are removing the restrictions imposed for the war on the Corona plague, which applied to scheduled and charter flights between Russia and a number of other countries. We are now resuming flights to 52 countries, including Argentina, India, South Africa and other friendly countries.”

As you may recall, part of Russia’s response to the severe economic sanctions imposed on it was the closure of its airspace to airlines from 36 countries. International flights already arrive and depart from Russia on a daily basis.
