The Bangladesh team is touring South Africa to play 3 ODIs and 2 Tests. Bangladesh won the ODI series. The first Test between the two teams started on the 31st of last month.
Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field Batting first, South Africa scored 367 in the first innings. After this, Bangladesh started the first innings with only 298 runs. South Africa played with a lead of 69 runs.
South Africa lost all their wickets in the second innings and scored 204 runs. Bangladesh set a target of 274 for victory. Keshav Maharaj’s Bangladesh were bowled out for two in the second innings. The team played only 19 overs and scored 53 runs and lost all their wickets.
South Africa won by 220 runs. Keshav Maharaj bowled 10 overs and took 7 wickets for 32 runs. Keshav Maharaj was selected as the captain.
The Bangladesh team will lodge a complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) over South Africa’s sledging during the Test.
An official of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said, “We have already complained to the ICC about the worst refereeing in the ODI series.
Again we are going to complain about the bad refereeing verdicts in this Test match. Not only that but we strongly condemn the involvement of South African team players in sledging. We plan to lodge a complaint in this regard as well. “
