Mumbai: Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Indian pacer T.S. Former coach Ravi Shastri praises Natarajan

Shastri said Natarajan’s inability to play in the last Twenty20 World Cup due to injury was a huge loss to the team.

Describing Natarajan as a ‘specialist death bowler’, he added that he is happy to see that he is now back to full fitness. Natarajan suffered a knee and shoulder injury during the home series against England last year. With this, the player lost the last Twenty20 World Cup.

“We really missed him (Natarajan) in the last World Cup. He would definitely have been on the team if he had been fit. He is a specialist death bowler. He is a very efficient thrower of all yorkers. There is good control, ” Shastri said in an interview with Cricinfo.

Natarajan, who accompanied the Indian team on the 2021 tour of Australia, was instrumental in the team’s success in the Test series.
