Lakshya, Malavika-Dinamani in 2nd round

India’s Lakshya Sen and Malvika Bansod advance to the 2nd round of the Korean Open Badminton Tournament.

Lakshya Sen, ranked 6th in the Ottawa Singles Division, defeated South Korea’s Choi Ji Hoon 14-21, 21-16, 21-18. In the next round, Ava will face Indonesia’s Shesha Hiren Rustavito.

However, HS Prannoy lost 17-21, 7-21 to Malaysia’s Seam Jun Wei.

In the women’s singles, Malavika Bansot defeated Han Yu of China 20-22, 22-20, 21-10. In the 2nd round, Malavika will face Thailand’s Panbavi Chosuwang.

In the Ottawa doubles, Krishna Prasad Karaka / Vishnuvathan Gaud and Navneet Bhoga / Sumeet Reddy lost in the first round.
