300 kg of cannabis was smuggled from the state of Karnataka via Dhenkanikottai in the last few weeks. Led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Krithika, Rayakottai Police Inspector Subramanian and police seized the cannabis and arrested the smugglers. Deputy Superintendent of Police Krithika and Inspector Subramanian, who had excelled in the case, were arrested by the Tamil Nadu DGP at a function in Salem. Silenthrababu presented appreciation, certificate and prize money. Krishnagiri district police superintendent Saroj Kumar Thakur was with him at the time.
