After the violent death of six people in California’s capital Sacramento, another suspect is in police custody.

The police arrested a third person after the shots in California with six dead. According to the announcement, the 31-year-old was taken into custody for illegal possession of a weapon.

The man had a gun with him on the night of the crime. He is currently not directly related to the fatal shots, it said. The investigations continued.

Three men and three women between the ages of 21 and 57 were shot dead in the Californian capital Sacramento on Sunday night. Twelve people were injured. Unknown persons opened fire around 2 a.m. in a nightlife area in the city center. More than a hundred shell casings were found at the scene.

On Monday, the police announced that they had identified the first suspect. The 26-year-old is accused of assault and illegal possession of weapons. His 27-year-old brother was taken into custody a little later. The man was found at the scene with serious gunshot wounds and taken to a hospital, police said. He is accused, among other things, of illegal possession of weapons.
