Emergency withdraws in Sri Lanka | nakkheeran

by time news

As prices have risen sharply in Sri Lanka, popular protests have erupted over shortages of essential commodities. Outraged by the unavailability of essential commodities including milk, flour, petrol, diesel and cooking gas, the Rajapaksa brothers are fighting to get out of politics.

A state of emergency was declared in Sri Lanka in order to control this series of civilian protests. However, the public continued to protest against the government. The Sri Lankan government has announced that it will withdraw the declaration of a state of emergency as the crisis escalates into a series of political upheavals in Sri Lanka, with the resignation of all MPs and the withdrawal of support from coalition parties. The state of emergency came into effect at midnight yesterday.
