The 3rd Pro Women’s Hockey League Series with 9 teams participating is taking place in various countries. In this, each team has to face the other team 2 times.
The Indian women’s team will face the ‘Number One’ team, the Netherlands, in their next two league matches on August 8 and 9. The first league match between India and the Netherlands will be played tomorrow (Friday) at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, the state capital of Odisha.

The Indian women’s hockey team for the match against the Netherlands was announced yesterday. Rani Rampal, who was sidelined due to injury after the Tokyo Olympics which ended in August last year, has returned to the Indian team. He entered the team after a long break and was not promoted to captain.
Goalkeeper Savita will continue as captain and Deep Grace Ekka as vice-captain. Mahima Chaudhary and Aishwarya Rajesh Sawan are the newcomers. Substitutes include Upasana Singh, Prithvi Dube and Vandana Kataria.
