Alfred Akirov (PR)
Businessman Alfred Akirov is interested in taking over Clal Insurance, it is known but if he can not buy shares then he will do so through taking over the board. Akirov this morning (Wednesday) contacted the board of directors of Clal Insurance, demanding that they convene and appoint two more directors on his behalf.
The two directors that Akirov wants to appoint to the board of directors are Aharon Fogel, who was formerly the director general of the Ministry of Justice, and David Granot, a former senior banker.
