Chennai – Police have arrested a youth who was involved in an adventure on a two wheeler on the Coimbatore flyover.
The Chennai Police had already warned that those who conduct adventures or races on two-wheelers would be arrested for threatening the public in Chennai. Meanwhile, footage of a youth riding a two-wheeler on the new flyover at Coimbatore 100 feet road Nesappakkam has spread on social media.
Surveillance camera footage of the incident led to the arrest of Ashiq Hussain of Poovirunthavalli by the Traffic Investigation Division. His two-wheeler was also confiscated. During the interrogation, he said he had done adventures on a two-wheeler on the main roads of Chennai and uploaded the footage on social networking sites for ‘likes’. Police subsequently removed the videos he had uploaded, produced Ashiq Hussein in court and remanded him in custody.
