by time news

Suspension of the President of the KSEB Officers’ Association who led the Satyagraha against the unilateral actions of the KSEB Management. KSEB Chairman B Ashok has suspended Executive Engineer MG Suresh Kumar.

The action was taken on the basis of a satyagraha in front of the Vaidyuthi Bhavan, a notice issued in this connection, and Suresh Kumar’s comments made in the media, contrary to the rules of service and a breach of discipline.

The Satyagraha was organized by the KSEB Officers’ Association on Tuesday. Dionyson made the announcement as the organization moved forward with the Satyagraha. He warned that disciplinary action would be taken. It was after this that Suresh Kumar was suspended. Protest rallies were organized by the association in front of the Vidyuthi Bhavan and in all circles in protest of the suspension.

The KSEB Officers’ Association said in a statement that the suspension against MG Suresh Kumar was a continuation of the KSEB chairman’s retaliatory measures. The association said the move was unjustified during a protest against the suspension of a woman official, Jasmine Banu, on false charges.

Meanwhile, Thiruvananthapuram Electrical Division Executive Engineer Jasmine Banu, who was suspended by KSEB Management, approached the High Court. He approached the High Court seeking that the suspension was illegal and should be quashed. The petition will be considered tomorrow. Jasmine was suspended on the first day of the national strike for taking illegal leave.
