In Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continued as caretaker Prime Minister in a three-year parliamentary election in which neither party won a majority to form a government. Opposition leader Naphtali Bennett ruled in coalition with eight smaller parties after a long tug-of-war, with no party gaining a majority in the 4th general election in March last year. This was followed in June by the inauguration of a new government led by Naphtali Bennett.
In this case, the government of Naphtali Bennett was overthrown before the end of his one – year term. A female MP from the coalition party that has been supporting the Naphtali Bennett-led government. Following the withdrawal of his support by one, the government has lost its majority.
Political observers believe that if the opposition passes a no-confidence motion against the Naphtali Bennett government, the regime will be overthrown. It is noteworthy that this will be the 5th general election in Israel in 3 years.
