Ramadan: One hundred new gates opened at Makkah Haram Mosque

Riyadh: One hundred new doors were opened at the Haram Mosque in Makkah. The move is based on estimates that the number of pilgrims will increase during Ramadan. Hundreds of thousands of devotees flock to the Haram Mosque for Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan. It was only after a gap of two years following the spread of the Kovid virus that prayers were allowed in Makkah without any social distance.

Meanwhile, authorities said they had recruited 12,000 male and female staff to ensure various services to the pilgrims at the Haram mosque. Saudi Arabia has made it a priority to provide facilities for pilgrims to perform their prayers in a healthy and safe manner.
