Kanyakumari: A mother has been arrested for poisoning her child to marry her boyfriend in Kanyakumari district.
Jagadish (34) and Karthika (21) from Kulakkachi area near Marthandam in Kanyakumari district have a 3.5 year old daughter Sanjana and a 1.5 year old son Charan. Karthika has informed her husband Jagadeesh, who had gone to work, that the baby Charan, who was playing at home, suddenly fainted after consuming the poison poison given by the rat.
Jagadeesh then returned home and took the baby to a private hospital in Marthandam, where the doctor who examined the baby said the baby had died.
