Viennese children collect donations for Ukraine

by time news

For almost six weeks we have been receiving pictures of families, women, children and older people who are forced to leave their homes because of the war in Ukraine. These are images that occupy you and leave you with a feeling of helplessness, but also of solidarity. Even the youngest among us show how great this solidarity is. This is also the case with Paulina, Florentina, Nina, Levi and Mila from Vienna.

Paulina and her sister Florentina were braiding bracelets when the first news of the war in Ukraine reached them. “We really wanted to help. That’s why we had the idea of selling our bracelets and donating the amount to the people in Ukraine,” says 8-year-old elementary school student Paulina. The two sisters were able to immediately win their friends Nina, Levi and his sister Mila over to the idea and so the duo became a whole group of hard-working helpers.
