Two people were killed and 12 were injured this evening (Thursday) in a shooting attack on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv. Medical teams were called to the scene, provided medical treatment to the wounded and evacuated them to the various hospitals.

Ichilov Hospital announced that the deaths of two wounded had been determined. Also, eight other wounded arrived at the trauma room, four of them in critical-critical condition, two moderately-severely wounded and two lightly wounded. The Sheba Medical Center said that two wounded have been evacuated to the hospital so far, their condition is defined as mild and they are being treated in the shock room.
The Ministry of Transportation stated that due to blockades by the Israel Police. At this stage, the public transportation service in the center of Tel Aviv, between the port and Carmelit, is discontinued.

Evidence shows that the terrorist, apparently armed with a rifle, arrived at the scene of the incident on Dizengoff Street at the corner of Frishman and opened fire on diners in the restaurant. He then fled, encountered passers-by and other civilians and fired at them, then proceeded to another arena. Large forces of police were called to the scene. At the same time, IDF forces that launched reinforcements in the civilian area about a week ago are now operating in the various arenas. In addition, special forces have been called in to assist and reinforce the area.
The GSS and the police estimate that there was another terrorist or an aide who fled the scene and searches are being carried out after him. Commissioner General Kobi Shabtai arrived at the scene.
MDA paramedic Israel Weingarten, who arrived at the scene on a MDA motorcycle: “As soon as the calls were received at MDA’s 101 emergency center about the shooting attack in Tel Aviv, large MDA forces rushed to the scene. There was a lot of commotion, dozens of people ran down the street. “We saw six wounded lying on the sidewalk. We immediately began medical treatment that included stopping bleeding and bandages. We took the wounded to an intensive care unit and evacuated them to the hospital with two of them unconscious and performed resuscitation and 4 more conscious.”
