Thiruvananthapuram: The Met office has forecast heavy summer rains and winds in the state till Saturday. Yellow alert has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki districts today. The risk of thunderstorms is expected in the southern districts from 2 pm to 10 pm. Yellow alert has been declared in Idukki districts.
