Istanbul: A Turkish court has ordered the suspension of the trial in the Jamal Khashoggi murder case and the transfer of the case to Saudi Arabia. The role of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is also in doubt, with allegations that handing over the case to Saudi Arabia could affect the trial.

Journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed on October 2, 2018. Khashoggi went missing when he arrived at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. He is believed to have been killed and his body destroyed. The case is being heard in Turkey against 26 people. Saudi Arabia has tried and convicted some of those found guilty in the case.
