Argenteuil: ten years in prison for Alisha’s murderous teenagers

by time news

The two teenagers had thrown Alisha alive into the Seine after hitting her a year ago in Argenteuil, under the A15 viaduct. Tim and Julia, now 17 years old (the first names have been changed), were sentenced this Thursday evening to 10 years in prison.

After a long deliberation of six hours, the children’s court of Pontoise which ruled in criminal matters, found them guilty of murder of a minor of 15 years, not retaining premeditation. Previously, the prosecution had requested 18 years in prison against them. Because of their age, they would incur a maximum of 20 years of criminal imprisonment.

This measured verdict was greeted by the suppressed anger of relatives and the cries of Jenny, Alisha’s mother, who echoed for a long time in the courtroom of the courthouse. “My daughter was killed. She told them to stop! You understand ? They killed her anyway. They threw her in the water. I don’t understand Justice. Where am I here? Alisha is never going to come back. It’s not possible…” She repeats it several times and adds, regarding the young convicts, that “they will be released in ten years…”

According to the defense, “there was an ambush to commit violence”

Me Frank Berton, who defended the young teenager, Tim, for his part welcomed the court’s decision. “It is a courageous decision, filled with wisdom, moderation and hope. This is the result of four days of hearings which made it possible to apprehend the acts committed by 15-year-olds. “Regarding the premeditation that the court did not retain, he adds:” There was no preparatory act to kill, there was an ambush to commit violence. »

If the court rejected the premeditation, it considered that the two young people “could not ignore the manifest state of the victim” and that the teenagers “were fully aware that they were causing death. The court also ordered their continued detention and ordered a judicial educational measure until they were 21 “in order to promote their reintegration”.

Pontoise, this Thursday. The teenagers had been on trial since Monday in juvenile court for Alisha’s murder. Her relatives came to court with the portrait of the girl.

Since Monday, for four days of hearing, the court has tried to understand how these two teenagers, then 15 years old, in a context of banal rivalry between college students and harassment, came to such an end, on the 8 March 2021.

That day, 15-year-old Alisha was found in the Seine, drowned, her face covered in bruises, after being hit under the A15 viaduct in Argenteuil. There will be found an earring of the victim and a lot of blood. Alerted by Tim’s mother to whom the two young people spoke of the facts they had just committed, the police then quickly found Alisha’s young executioners.

Disturbing research on the Internet

The court case showed Alisha and Tim dated for a week. The students of the private vocational high school Cognacq-Jay had exchanged kisses. But since the start of the school year, they have been torn apart as Tim and Julia have quickly become a couple. A fusional, tumultuous and toxic relationship.

In February 2021, Tim released nude photos of Alisha. A fight breaks out between Julia and Alisha a few days later. Shortly before the act, Tim does disturbing research on the Internet: “Murder of a minor”; “Murder on a minor conviction” or even “Quai de Seine Argenteuil”…

At the beginning of March, Julia reconnects with Alisha, and the two girls agree on a meeting to discuss on the banks of the Seine. Today is March 8. Tim, warned, arrives. Then the beatings. Alisha, still conscious, is thrown into the Seine. “We didn’t want to leave any evidence,” Tim told investigators.
