Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Meteorological Department has forecast isolated heavy showers in the state today and tomorrow. Today there is a yellow alert in seven districts. The yellow alert has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki districts.
Yellow alert for tomorrow in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and Idukki districts. The chance of isolated heavy rain is forecast. Heavy rainfall is defined as a rainfall of 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm in 24 hours.
The Central Meteorological Department has forecast isolated thundershowers till Monday. Sudden strong winds are also possible. Fishermen are advised to be careful.
Meanwhile, the Central Meteorological Department has issued a warning that the cyclone that formed in the Bay of Bengal could intensify into a low pressure area.
