Chinese scientists and engineers have developed a satellite called ‘Gaoben-303’ to monitor the Earth.
The satellite was successfully launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center by a ‘Long March-4C’ rocket at 7.47 am yesterday.
The satellite is in orbit as planned. Reports from there suggest that this Earth Surveillance satellite will be used to obtain reliable and stable high-resolution satellite radar images, as well as operational application and data for terrain, environment, resource surveillance and emergency disaster prevention and mitigation.
