Robert Lewandowski (Reuters)
Not quiet at Bayern Munich. Beyond the surprising 1-0 loss to Villarreal in the first game of the Champions League quarter-final, even in the segment of Robert Lewandowski, news about his future does not stop popping up. This time, the German Bild claimed that the star’s Israeli agent, Pini Zehavi, was “trying to quarrel” between the Pole and the team, as he did with David Alaba last season, which led to the Austrian’s move to Real Madrid.
According to the report in Germany, Zehavi allegedly told Lebandowski that Bayern prefer other players than him, and that the German champions want Charling Holland to arrive. The Pole is currently not convinced that the team will do anything to keep him, when in addition he has already achieved everything in Munich and moving to a team outside of Germany has always been an option for him.
The Bild went on to claim that if Zehavi gets a better financial offer for him than Bayern’s, the player may ask to leave. Bayern are aware that Lewandowski’s stay is not guaranteed at all, but they do take the issue seriously. Barcelona’s interest is putting pressure on the German champions, knowing that Joan Laporta is a good friend of Pini Zahavi.
The striker himself, by the way, is open to more options. Zahavi also has good connections in Paris and he is in talks with his friends in France, when the team will surely look for a replacement for Killian Ambape in the summer. Bild concluded that Bayern face quite a few difficulties with Lewandowski and the Israeli agent in the near future.
