In this context, Sahal talks about an incident that happened to him in a video conversation with Aswin and Karun Nair, the Rajasthan players. He said:

Many are unaware of this incident. I never talked about this. In 2013 I was in the Mumbai Indians team. We had a game in Bangalore. We all attended a show after the game. One player was very drunk at the time. He will not say the name. He was well drunk and looked at me and called. The one who took me out, hung me from the balcony. It is the 15th floor. My hands were wrapped around his neck. Suddenly many people came there and took control of the situation. I feel dizzy. They gave me water to drink. That’s when I realized, just how responsible I should be when going out. I think the only thing that escaped was the big thing. He said I would have fallen down even if there was a small mistake.
